Ridgefield Man Accused Of Paying 15-Year-Old For Sex In Redding A Fairfield County man is behind bars for allegedly paying a 15-year-old to have sex at an area hotel. David Birkrant, age 45, of Ridgefield, turned himself in to Redding Police on Tuesday, June 11, on a warrant on charges of employing a minor in an obscene performance. According to Capt. Woman Stabbed Multiple Times, Attacker Tased At CT Hotel, Police Say A Connecticut woman was stabbed multiple times and the attacker had to be tased twice by police before he could be subdued. The incident took place around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, May 20, when the Windsor Locks Police Department received a call about a stabbing at the Candlewood Suites, said Lieutenant Paul Cherniack of Windsor Locks PD. According to Cherniack, a hotel guest told officers he saw a man and woman struggling outside a room and he was holding a knife. Man Pleads Guilty To 7-Stop Crime Spree, Carjacking The man who stuck a gun into a woman’s neck carjacked her vehicle and went on a crime spree has pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Arno Smith, 57, of Hartford, pleaded guilty to one charge of a Hobbs Act robbery, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Connecticut, said. Hobbs applies in instances of interstate or foreign attempted or real robbery.
