Man Attempted To Deposit Fraudulent $22.4K Check, Police Say A 53-year-old man was busted by police on a warrant for fraud charges. Christopher Kocak, of Milford, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 9, by Milford Police after being contacted by the  Iberia, Louisiana Sheriff’s Office in regards to a fraud that occurred on Nov. 11, 2019, said Milford Police. An investigation was conducted and detectives found that Kocak attempted to deposit a fraudulent check in the amount of $22,460.00 into his People’s Bank account. Suspect In Crime Committed Four Years Ago Nabbed Through DNA, Monroe Police Say A man wanted in connection with the attempted theft of a motorcycle more than four years ago has been arrested on a warrant after he was identified through DNA testing. Andrew Dwyer 33, of Waterbury, was arrested by Fairfield Police on Monday, July 29, and turned over to the Monroe Police Department for the alleged attempted theft that took place on April 16, 2015, said Lt. Stephen Corrone.
