Norwalk Police 'Imploring' Residents To Lock Cars After 87 Thefts Police in Fairfield County are "imploring" residents to lock their vehicles after seeing a large number of car thefts. Since Sunday, Jan. 1, there have been 87 motor vehicles stolen from different residents within the City of Norwalk, said Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police. Of those, 55 vehicles had the keys left in the car, Podgorski said.
