Police Seek Jewelry Owner Following Vandalism at CT Cemetery
Police in Connecticut are seeking the owner of a piece of jewelry stolen by a juvenile who allegedly vandalized a cemetery, taking items from the gravesites. The incident occurred in Windham County on Sunday, July 14, at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Killingly. According to Connecticut State Police, troopers and Killingly Police responded to the cemetery on Maple Street after receiving a report of criminal mischief. Human Bones Found On Gravesites At Historic Fairfield County Cemetery
Bones found on top of gravesites at a historic cemetery in Stamford are most likely human, Stamford Police said. Detectives don't suspect foul play, but they do suspect a groundhog or woodchuck is the culprit, said Capt. Richard Conklin. The bones and teeth were found by a passerby who happened to notice the remains on top of several gravesites, Conklin said. Police believe the bones are human and have collected them and plan to work with the Medical Examiner to find out what kind they are, Conklin said.
