A Fairfield County man wanted in a brutal machete attack at a popular baseball field has been captured by authorities. Jilmer Valverde, age 20, of Bridgeport, was apprehended early Monday, June 26, by members of the US Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Bridgeport Violent Crime Task Force, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Student Kidnapping Attempt: Bridgeport Man Charged In 2 Cases, Police Say
A man has been charged with attempting to lure two Fairfield County students to his car, and in one case, grabbed a student and attempted to drag her to his vehicle. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 11 a.m., Thursday, April 27 at Central High School. A Fairfield County woman has been charged with weapons charges and risk of injury to a child after allegedly firing a gun out a window onto a city street and then barricading herself. Two Detectives Suspended Over Handling Of Investigation Of Fairfield County Woman's Death
Two Fairfield County detectives have been suspended over the handling of an investigation into the deaths of two women including Lauren Smith-Fields.
