TRUMBULL, Conn. — Republicans have selected Elaine Hammers, chairman of Trumbull's Board of Finance, to run against incumbent Marilyn Moore for the 22nd State Senate District, according to Connecticut Post.
Hammers served in the state House of Representatives in the 1990s for a single term, Connecticut Post reported.
She also served as Trumbull's director of Finance from 1999 to 2002 and on the state Board of Labor Relations, Trumbull’s Civil Service Board and the state Affordable Housing Study Commission, said Connecticut Post.
The 22nd Senate District includes Trumbull and parts of Bridgeport and Monroe.
