The worker somehow became pinned under the chassis of the trailer-mounted vacuum, Long Hill Fire Chief Alex Rauso told the Post.
Firefighters used hydraulics to lift the vacuum off the worker, who was taken to the hospital, the Post said.
The accident occurred at 10:30 a.m. on Mallet Drive around, the Connecticut Post said.
