Nearly 20,000 have now tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Connecticut.
The number of confirmed cases as of late Monday afternoon, April 20 is now 19,815, up by 1,853 from a day ago.
There were 204 new deaths due to COVID-19. Of the state's 1,331 COVID-19 fatalities, 512 happened in Fairfield County (38 percent).
Of the total number of cases, 8,320 (41.9 percent) are in Fairfield County.
Here are the cities with the most cases in Connecticut:
- Stamford 2,046,
- Bridgeport 1,356,
- New Haven 1,134,
- Norwalk 942,
- Danbury 836
A total of 1,919 patients are now being hospitalized and 62,806 have been tested.
