Two Hospitalized After Raging Blaze Breaks Out At Multi-Family Home In Bridgeport A raging house fire at a Bridgeport multi-family home sent two people to the hospital, including a firefighter. The fire took place around 11 a.m. Sunday at the three-story residence at 66 Garfield Ave., said Bridgeport Fire Department Deputy Chief Executive Officer Lance Edwards. The first arriving fire units reported heavy fire on the second and third floors of the home. Shortly after the Battalion Chief called for a second alarm for additional resources, Edwards said.
