Jose Geovany Merino-Mejia, age 45, of Norwalk, was charged on Friday, Nov. 3 for the incident that took place on Saturday, Oct. 28 in the area of Lexington Avenue. A Ruger .45 caliber handgun was recovered during the arrest. Suspect Charged In Connection To Murder Of 39-Year-Old Stamford Man A suspect has been charged in connection to the homicide earlier this week of a 39-year-old Stamford man. Michael A. James, Sr., age 53, of Baxter Avenue, in Stamford, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 27 for the murder of Torrick Johnson, who was shot several times on the night of Wednesday, Sept. 25. Johnson died as a result of his injuries. James shot Johnson three times, with two of which were at close range, Stamford Police said.
