'There’s A New Republican Sheriff In Town': GOP Support For Trump 2024 Run Craters, Poll Says Former President Donald Trump is losing his grip on the Republican party, according to a new Suffolk University/USA Today poll. The poll, released Tuesday, Dec. 13, found that among registered voters nearly two-thirds (65 percent) of Republicans and independents who identified as either conservative or very conservative wanted Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to run for president. Gary Zerola, 49, was arraigned on Jan. 15 on charges of rape and breaking and entering with felony intent, according to the NY Post.
