STAMFORD, Conn. Stamfords Rachel Brittenham, a former standout at St. Lukes, hit a three-pointer with 44 seconds left in the game Monday to lift Wofford over Davidson, 63-59, in a womens college basketball game.
Brittenham had a team-high 15 points for Wofford, including four three-pointers in the second half. She also had a game-high six assists. She had two three-pointers as Wofford closed the game with a 15-2 run to hand Davidson its first conference loss.
Brittenham, a junior guard, is averaging 8.9 points per game for Wofford. She leads the team in assists and steals. She has been a starter since midway through her freshman season. Wofford is 9-5 overall and 2-3 in the Southern Conference.
