First, he was sleeping a Dumpster. And second, it got worse when a garbage truck arrived to empty it at about 3 a.m. Tuesday, the Stamford Advocate said.

Luckily, the driver heard the boy's screams when he dumped the contents of the Dumpster into the truck and began crushing it, the Advocate said.

The driver stopped the compactor, and the boy climbed out with only scrapes and bruises, the Advocate said.

Why did he run away? The boy told police he argued with his mother Monday night about cleaning up the dishes, the Advocate said.
