Joseph Comunale, 26, of Stamford had disappeared after last being seen entering an apartment in Manhattan on Sunday, according to multiple media reports. The New York Post reported that he had been partying with friends in the apartment, which was located on East 59th Street near First Avenue.
Officials found his body buried in Oceanport, NJ Wednesday morning, according to the New York Post.
The Daily Mail reported Wednesday that blood was found on a luggage cart belonging to a resident of the building, and that a pair of pants belonging to Comunale and bloody sheets were found in a garbage bag nearby.
A source told the New York Post that the resident of the apartment has been taken into custody on an "unrelated incident."
