Matthew Miloro, 90, Stamford WWII Veteran

STAMFORD, Conn. – Matthew D. Miloro of Stamford died Dec. 6. He was 90.

He was born Nov. 6, 1922, in Port Chester, N.Y., to Angelo Miloro and Frances Gasparini. A graduate of Port Chester High School, he served in the Army during World War II.

Miloro was employed at Arnold Bakeries as a warehouse manager and retired after more than 40 years of employment. A Stamford resident for the past 15 years, Miloro was a parishioner of St. Leo's Parish.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Lacko Miloro; a son, Matthew; a daughter, Suzanne (Joseph) DeFelice; a brother, Patsy; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Rocco and Anthony; and a sister, Mary.

Funeral services were held Monday at St. Leo's Parish. Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home in Stamford handled arrangements.
