STAMFORD, Conn. -- Marie Filia Severin, a 30-year resident of Stamford, died after a long battle with multiple sclerosis on Dec. 28 at Long Ridge Rehab-Nursing Home in Stamford. She was 65.
She was born in Haiti on Oct. 6, 1950, and has been living in Stamford for the past 30 years. She was a caregiver who was admired by her patients and co-workers.
She is survived by her brother Andre Ogirus; and her close family and friends across the greater Stamford area, Florida, France, and Haiti.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at Eglise Baptiste D'Expression Francaise 28 Adams Ave., Stamford.
