Megale was born April 20, 1934, in Arena, Italy, to Vincenzo and Olimpia Rosa Iorfino Greco.
Megale is survived by her husband, Pasquale Megale of Stamford; daughter, Grace Fratello (Michael) of Greenwich; sons, Frank P. Megale of Stamford, Vincent Megale (Cindy) of Stamford and Joseph Megale (Loren) of Trumbull; sister, Girolama Maria Rossi (Luciano) of Italy; brothers, Francesco Greco (Rachela) of Italy, Domenico Greco of Stamford and Michael Greco (Michelina) of Darien; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and brother, Joseph Greco.
Calling hours are Thursday, Jan. 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A funeral procession will leave Friday, Jan. 31 at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home and proceed to St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm St., Stamford, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
