The NewAlliance Bank on Summer Street in Stamford was robbed by a lone man on Friday afternoon, according to published reports.
The robber, who was unarmed, passed a bank teller a note around 2:30 p.m., according to Capt. Richard Conklin. He made off with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
Police described the robber as a black man in his 40s, 6 feet tall and about 230 pounds. He was wearing a gray T-shirt, glasses and a baseball cap.
The NewAlliance Bank is located at 550 Summer Street, near Spring Street.
