Stamford Reval Letters To Be Sent Out Next Week

STAMFORD, Conn. — More than 4,000 property owners in Stamford will be receiving new assessment values from Vision Government Services, a release from the mayor’s office said.

Property owners will then have until Jan. 15 to schedule an informal review, the release said. State law says that every municipality has to revalue all of its real estate within five years of the most recent revaluation, the release said.

The last time Stamford revalued its’ real estate was Oct. 1, 2007, the release said.

Assessments will be based on 70 percent of market value as of Oct. 1 of this year, the release said.
