Metro-North Trains Getting Back On Schedule

Update, 3 p.m.: Normal service has been restored to the New Haven line, Metro-North tweeted Monday afternoon.

Passengers could still experience some "residual delays," the railroad says.

Original story:

STAMFORD, Conn. — Metro-North's New Haven Line was experiencing half-hour delays in Fairfield County Monday due to a damaged powerline in Greenwich.

The railroad is combining several trains with diesel engines. Connecticut Light & Power expected to be working on the damaged line Monday afternoon.

Sunday night’s storm knocked tree branches onto wires causing outages and suspending service between Harrison and Stamford. The railroad was able to start service back up Monday morning at around 5:30 a.m., according to its Twitter account.
