Man Nabbed 7 Years After Raping Waterbury Woman While Posing As Cop, Police Say After seven years, a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in Connecticut while posing as a police officer has been caught. Niamkey Amichia, age 33, of Pierce County, Washington, wanted for a New Haven County sexual assault in Waterbury in Nov. 2016, was arrested by the Pierce County Sheriff's Department for an unrelated sexual assault. Female Prison Guard Assaulted At Bridgeport Correctional A prison guard was injured during an assault by an inmate at the Bridgeport Correctional Center. The assault took place in Bridgeport on Wednesday, Aug. 2 when the prisoners grabbed the officer as she conducted routine duties. Escaped Inmate From Fairfield County Apprehended In Georgia A 31-year-old man who escaped while serving a sentence in Fairfield County for a robbery charge was apprehended in Georgia. The Henry County Sheriff's Office in Georgia announced on Saturday, Oct. 1, that Forenza Rakeem Murphy was arrested. Authorities reported that Murphy left a Connecticut Department of Corrections Halfway House in Bridgeport on Monday, Aug. 8, and had been on the run ever since.
