SHELTON, Conn. -- Naugatuck Valley Health District, which serves the Shelton area, recently received national accreditation through the Public Health Accreditation Board, according to the Shelton Herald.
To celebrate this accomplishment, the organization will have a celebration Feb. 3 at CAFÉ 141, Emmett O’Brien High School’s Culinary Arts Program restaurant, said the Shelton Herald.
Public health districts offer residents a wide range of services, from promoting healthy behaviors and providing immunizations to preparing for and responding to public health emergencies, added the Shelton Herald.
