Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Ridgefield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County residents traveling Monday night into Tuesday morning should be prepared for possible slick driving conditions ahead of a Nor'easter that will bring heavy rain and wind to the area on Tuesday.

Freezing rain could accumulate up to one tenth of an inch in some spots in Fairfield County, particularly in Northern Fairfield County where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for midnight until 9 a.m.

Most of Fairfield County will see mainly flurries and drizzle before midnight, turning to all rain in the early morning hours.

A flood watch is in effect from 6 a.m. Tuesday until 1 a.m. Wednesday and a high wind watch from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Tuesday's high temperature will be around 40 degrees with about to 2 inches of rain possible.
