The incident happened in Hartford County just before 3 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 on I-384 in Manchester. Connecticut State Police Troop H in Hartford received multiple calls reporting a wrong way driver traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes. Driver Killed After Compact SUV Crashes Into Tree On Route 8 In Shelton A driver was killed in an overnight crash in Fairfield County. It happened around 3:40 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 on Route 8 in Shelton. A 2013 Nissan Rogue was traveling northbound approximately one-quarter mile south of Exit 14 when it left the roadway and entered the roadside where it collided with a tree, Connecticut State Police said.  Following impact with the tree, the Rogue caught fire.  The driver, whose identity is not yet known, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.  This collision remains under investigation.  Anyone who may …

Man Accused Of Trying To Cash Forged Checks At Bank In Wilton A 48-year-old man was captured after a months-long investigation into identity theft and larceny at a Fairfield County bank.  James Greco, of Wynantskill, New York, located in Rensselaer County, was charged on Tuesday, Nov. 21 on a warrant for the July incident at a Wilton bank. According to Lt. Anna Tornello, of the Wilton Police, Greco entered the bank and forged checks in the victim’s name, and then deposited the cash into other accounts.
