Massachusetts police are attempting to unravel the chaotic case of a man who is believed to have shot and killed someone in Worcester before he walked onto I-190, pointed his gun at terrified drivers, and then killed himself when officers had him cornered, authorities said. A 6-year-old boy who was beaten into critical condition along with his 4-year-old sibling and mother has died, authorities announced on Wednesday, Oct. 2. The attack happened at a Fairfield County apartment in the 2400 block of Main St. in Bridgeport on Wednesday, Sept. 25, authorities said. Officers were called to the home around 10 a.m. to reports of a vicious assault. The two children and their 33-year-old mother were critically injured in the beating, police said, but they were later released from the hospital. Wilton Man Killed After Crashing Into Guardrail On Route 7 In Norwalk
An 80-year-old Connecticut man was killed on Wednesday, Oct. 2, after his car slammed into a guardrail in Fairfield County, authorities said. Fred Hunter, of Wilton, crashed just after noon when his Nissan Altima drifted across three lanes of traffic on the Route 7 connector near exit 2 just before the crash, Connecticut State Police said. He collided with a guardrail, tearing about 100 feet of the metal off its posts and spreading it along the shoulder. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. Widespread Bank Of America Outages Being Reported
Many Bank of America customers are reporting issues accessing their accounts. First reports of the problems began just before 1 pm. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, with about 20,000 customers sharing outages on the website Downdetector.com. Some said they were stunned to see zero balances on their accounts. Others said they could not see their account balances. Issues with online and mobile systems, and ATM services are being reported. A 22-year-old Connecticut man was arrested this week after a baby girl he lived with was taken to the hospital with 58 rib fractures, bleeding on her brain, and a traumatic brain injury that could cause major impairments for the rest of her life, authorities said. A 32-year-old Connecticut man was apprehended after authorities caught him snorting cocaine inside a vehicle in the Hudson Valley, police announced. Disney+ To Raise Prices Along With Several Other Major Streaming Services
Another year, another streaming service price hike. Disney+, the streaming video platform that boasts more than 150 million users, is raising the price of its monthly subscriptions beginning Thursday, Oct. 17, the company said.
