Clouds are clearing Tuesday, leaving mostly sunny skies. But the bitter cold will remain with a high of about 20 degrees with wind chills near zero, according to the National Weather Service.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a high of about 36 degrees, and snow showers will begin to threaten the area after 11 a.m.
Snow becomes more likely during the evening hours with up to an inch possible with temperatures in the mid-20s. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
Snow showers could linger Thursday morning, with bitter cold gripping the area through Friday.
The threat of even more snow will continue over the weekend and into Monday.
