Recall Of 11.7M Pounds Of Meat, Poultry: List Of Affected Schools Released State-By-State
A preliminary list has been released of schools that received items that were part of a nationwide recall of millions of pounds of meat and poultry products over fears they may be contaminated with Listeria.
The initial recall involving the manufacturer, Bruce Pac, was for 9,986,245 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) products sold at Walmart, Target, Amazon, Trader Joe's, 7-Eleven, Aldi, and other stores. It was announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Target To Lower Prices On 5,000 Items: Here's Where You Can Expect To See Savings
Target announced that it would lower prices on 5,000 "frequently shopped" items in its stores nationwide, the company said in a press release.
Those items include milk, meat, bread, soda, fresh fruit and vegetables, snacks, yogurt, peanut butter, coffee, diapers, paper towels, pet food, and more, the chain said in a Monday, May 20, news release. The new prices will be rolled out throughout the summer.

Target To Close Stores In 4 States, Citing Theft, Organized Retail Crime
Citing incidents involving violence and theft, Target announced it is closing nine stores in four states, including one in New York.
The New York store is in Manhattan, at 517 E 117th St.
Three other stores are in California, in the San Francisco/Oakland market, and three in Oregon, in Portland.
The other two stores are in Seattle, Washington.

Target Thieves Use Fake Name, Found With Drugs In CT: Police
A duo accused of stealing hundreds from a Connecticut Target was also found to be in possession of drugs and under a false name, police said.
It happened on Sunday, Aug. 27 in New Haven County when the two Christopher Connors, age 45, and Nicholas Clark, age 43, reportedly walked into the Milford Target located at 1191 Boston Post Road (Route 1).
The duo put merchandise, totaling over $250, into a reusable shopping bag and walked out of the store without paying, police said.

CT Target Employee Steals $13K From Cash Registers, Police Say
A Connecticut Target employee was charged with larceny after allegedly stealing more than $13,000 from cash registers at the store where he worked.
The incident took place in Hartford County between December 2022 and January in South Windsor.
Jorge L. Rivera-Martinez, age 23, of East Hartford was arrested on an active arrest warrant on Wednesday, April 5, said Sgt. Mark Cleverdon, of the South Windsor Police.

A man faces larceny charges after stealing thousands of dollars in LEGO sets from a Target in Connecticut.
New Haven resident Glenn London, age 37, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 9 by police on two active arrest warrants, both related to larcenies from the Target in South Windsor, located at 125 Buckland Hills Dr., according to Windsor PD Sergeant Mark Cleverdon.
London allegedly stole $1,709.92 of the popular toy plastic bricks on Friday, Oct. 21, and then stole $1,419.94 worth of sets on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

Police in Stamford are asking the public for help identifying three people who allegedly stole a woman's wallet from her purse at a local restaurant.
The incident took place in Stamford on Sunday, Jan. 15, at the Mecha Noodle Bar, at 151 Broad St., when the woman reported her wallet was stolen from her purse, said Sgt. Sean Scanlan, of the Stamford Police.

A Connecticut woman is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a police officer during an arrest outside of a shopping mall, authorities said.
In New Haven County, police in Milford were called just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, with reports of a disturbance at the Connecticut Post Mall near the Target store.
