Masked Gunman Carjacks Delivery Van Packed with Christmas Gifts in Fairfield A Connecticut delivery driver’s routine evening turned into a terrifying ordeal when they were carjacked at gunpoint, authorities said. The carjacking happened around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, in the 200 block of Woodrow Ave. in Fairfield’s Southport neighborhood. The thief got away with several Christmas presents intended for area residents. The victim told investigators that a masked man climbed through the passenger door, threatened the driver with a gun, and then drove off with the truck, Fairfield police said. Investigators from the Fairfield Police Department released surveillance video of a man who was caught red-handed stealing two packages from a Park Avenue home on Wednesday, Dec. 19.
