Popular Stamford Restaurant Destroyed, Other Businesses Burned In Early Morning Fire A Connecticut bistro was gutted in a fast-moving fire early Friday morning, March 7, and other businesses were damaged before firefighters could put it out, authorities said. Stamford firefighters responded to Bedford Street around 4:45 a.m. and found smoke pouring from Chez Vous Bistro, a popular French restaurant on the corner of Spring Street. Flames licked the walls and burned through the ceiling of the building, which is home to multiple businesses. Man, Woman Nabbed After Stealing Vehicle With Service Dog Inside In Stamford: Police A man and woman were apprehended after stealing a vehicle with a service dog inside in Fairfield County. Just before 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25 in Stamford, officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on the west side of the city.  The vehicle, which was left running, was stolen from Richmond Hill Avenue. Upon taking the report from the owner, officers learned that the stolen vehicle was occupied by a small service dog.
