A Fairfield County man will spend years in prison after being sentenced for his role in a family-run drug trafficking ring that operated in Westchester and Connecticut. Juan Carlos Figueroa, 40, of Norwalk, was sentenced in Bridgeport district court to 35 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine. A pair of Mexican nationals living in Fairfield County illegally have been sentenced in Bridgeport federal court for their roles in a drug trafficking operation that brought cocaine and methamphetamine to and from New York and Connecticut. A Mexican national living in Fairfield County illegally has admitted to his role in a drug trafficking operation that brought cocaine and methamphetamine from New York into Connecticut. A Mexican national who repeatedly illegally entered the country has admitted to his role in trafficking methamphetamine and other drugs from New York to Connecticut. Rafael Lopez-Macias, a citizen of Mexico last known to reside in Norwalk, has pleaded guilty in Bridgeport district court to narcotics trafficking and immigration offenses, U.S. Attorney John Durham announced.
