A man accused of a violent home invasion in which he allegedly choked a woman in bed with her child has been arrested in New York, authorities announced.
Christian Chavez-Sosa, 31, of Norwalk, was arrested Monday, Dec. 16, in Gloversville, New York. He was extradited to Norwalk Friday to face charges of home invasion, strangulation, three violations of a protective order, and burglary in the first degree, Fairfield County authorities said.

A Connecticut duo was allegedly nabbed with drugs and a loaded gun after being stopped by police.
The two men were stopped in Waterbury around 9:50 p.m., Friday, July 15 in the area of Bank and Porter streets.
Officers were patrolling the area after receiving complaints from residents in the area of loitering and drinking, said Lt. Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police.
The two men, identified as Marcus Rountree, age 31, and Armande Harrison, age 23, both of Waterbury, were searched by officers following an investigation, Bessette said.

A Fairfield County man was arrested after he was allegedly caught breaking windows at his girlfriend's home during a domestic dispute.
Derek Pflueger, 40, of Stamford, was arrested around 10:15 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1, after Fairfield Police responded to a 911 call at a home on Kings Highway, said Lieutenant Antonio Granata.

Sheldon Frierson, 29 of Norwalk, was identified as a person of interest in the death of Michael Moody, 29, of Norwalk, who was found stabbed to death outside his Fairfield Avenue home on Thursday, Aug. 8, said Norwalk Police Lt. Terrence Blake.

GREENWICH — A Greenwich man was arrested for the second time in a week, for harassing a woman online and in person, according to the Stamford Police.
Christian Dilworth, 23, was first arrested on Saturday after following the woman, making her feel "alarmed and fearful," police said.
He was released on a $1,000 bail and the woman was provided with a protection order.
