Study To Explore Name Change For Bradley Airport Takes Flight Connecticut’s largest airport may soon go by a new name. This week, the Connecticut Airport Authority board of directors voted unanimously to launch a study about how a potential name change at Bradley International Airport could help bolster flights coming in and out of the Nutmeg State. The report is expected to be completed and released by the end of the year. The airport is currently named after former military man Eugene Bradley, who died in a dogfighting training exercise in 1941 in advance of World War II.
