20 Shots Fired: 8-Year-Old Hit During Shootout In Bridgeport An 8-year-old boy was shot during a shootout between two men on a Fairfield County street. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 11 p.m., Sunday, July 23, at the 300 block of Orchard Street when 16 rounds were detected by ShotSpoetter, and another four rounds were discharged within the 300 block of Spring St.  A few minutes later the Bridgeport Police Emergency Operations Center received reports of a person shot in the ear in the 200 block of Orchard Street, said Capt. Woman Shot In Leg With Infant In Tow Not Cooperating With Bridgeport Police A Fairfield County who was shot in the leg with a 1-month-old with her and then forced into a gold-color Acura is allegedly not cooperating with police in the investigation. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 11 in the 100 block of Shelton St., said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Brigeport Police. According to Gilleran, officers responded to the area after receiving a report of a woman shot, but the car had fled prior to police arriving.
