A 42-year-old Connecticut man was arrested and charged with his third operating under the influence charge and failing to install a breathalyzer device that prevents him from driving while drunk, authorities said. Joseph Simmons, of Danbury, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 4, just before 3 a.m. after police found him on the side of Route 7 in Wilton, authorities said. A report of an attempted break-in in Connecticut led police to arrest a 25-year-old on charges of driving under the influence and possession of drugs. Troopers responded to a report of an individual possibly breaking into a Litchfield County home in Roxbury at about 11:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, according to Connecticut State Police. A Fairfield County man with a previous conviction for driving under the influence is facing new charges after being busted driving while allegedly drunk without a court-ordered interlock device in his vehicle, police said. Norwalk Man With Suspended License Charged With Felony DWI
A traffic stop in Westchester resulted in felony DWI charges for a Fairfield County man with a suspended license, according to police. New York State Police say they stopped a vehicle on I-287 in the town of Harrison for an infraction on Sunday, June 16 around 2 a.m. Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Luis Ramirez-Condori, 28, of Norwalk was found to be intoxicated and driving with a suspended license, according to police. The family of a 21-year-old Manhattanville College student scolded the drunk driver who struck and killed their son in court at her sentencing on Wednesday.
