Shootout: Stratford Homeowner Exchanges Gunfire With Car Thieves A Connecticut man traded gunfire with two suspects who he said were trying to steal his car early Tuesday morning, Oct. 29, in Fairfield County, authorities said.  A homeowner called Stratford Police to his 200 block of Burritt Ave. home around 4:30 a.m. to report the shooting.  He told officers that he saw two men attempting to steal his car from the driveway.  Related: Armed Carjackers Steal Porsche At Fairfield Stop Light It's unclear who fired first, but police noted multiple bullet holes in the man's home, authorities said.
