A Stamford man is facing numerous charges after police say he assaulted a woman in a Greenwich parking lot. Greenwich Police say they investigated a report of an assault that occurred in the lot on West Putnam Avenue on Friday, July 5. Statements from the victim report that she was physically assaulted by a man she knows, identified as Jose Rohena, 30, police say. Wilton Man Charged, Firearm Seized After Threat To Kill Victim, Police Say
A man from Wilton had his firearm seized and is facing charges after allegedly making a death threat, police say. The victim arrived at Wilton Police Headquarters on Saturday, Feb 23 around 6 p.m. to report that 64-year-old Marcelino Alberto Castillo had threatened to kill him. An investigation was initiated, and police established probable cause. With this information, Castillo was arrested and charged with first-degree threatening. A firearm was also seized from his residence. Castillo was being held on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Monday, Feb. 25.

Facebook Threat To Shoot Darien Resident Leads To Vermont Man's Arrest
Social media once again reared its ugly head, leading to the arrest of a man in Vermont who threatened to shoot a Fairfield County man on Facebook, police said. A Darien resident came to police headquarters on Jan. 17 with several printouts of threats being made by Woodford, Vermont, resident Richard Koproski, who made threats through Facebook.
