It happened just past midnight on Saturday, Oct. 26 on Route 53 near Michael's Way.  The driver, the lone occupant in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. It happened around 7 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 in Darien on the northbound side between exits 10 and 11. The person killed was pronounced dead at the scene. Two Killed In Fairfield County During Storm Two Fairfield County residents were killed and several injured as a high-powered storm system ripped through the area downing trees and power lines. A 41-year-old New Fairfield woman was killed around 5 p.m. Tuesday on Brush Hill Road when a tree fell on her vehicle, pinning her inside, said Connecticut State Trooper Sgt. Eric Haglund. Haglund said the woman's 3-year-old daughter was also in the vehicle but was not injured.
