Man Sentenced For Stalking Wife In Violation Of Protective Order
A man who emigrated to Connecticut has been sentenced for stalking. Alaa Hasan Qalb Allouz, 34, a citizen of Syria who emigrated to Connecticut with his wife and children, has been sentenced to 24 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, after pleading guilty to stalking and violating a protective order. A Syrian national living in Connecticut has admitted to harassing, threatening and intimidating his wife amid divorce proceedings while he was detained by ICE. Alaa Hasan Qalb Allouz, a citizen of Syria last known to live in New Haven, pleaded guilty in New Haven federal court to one count of stalking in violation of a protective order. A Syrian national who allegedly threatened and bullied his wife while in federal custody is facing prison time after being charged by a federal grand jury in Connecticut.
