ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- Happy Birthday to Lucy Fisher!
Lucy Fisher, who was raised in Englewood, turns 66 Friday.
Fisher, an American film producer, was born Oct. 2, 1949.
After graduating from Harvard, Fisher began a career with Warner Brother’s, producing such films as “The Fugitive,” “The Goonies,” and “The Witches of Eastwick.”
At Sony, she oversaw production of “Men in Black” and “Jerry Maguire,” among other blockbuster hits. Sony set industry records for gross sales both domestic and abroad during Fisher’s time with the company.

Joaquin Moncayo, 79, Of Lodi Passes Away
LODI, N.J. -- Joaquin Moncayo of Lodi passed away Sept. 17. He was 79.
Born in Ecuador, Moncayo moved to the United States in 1968.
Moncayo is survived by his wife Etna Moncayo; children Eliana, Jenny, Mae, Peggy and Joaquin; brother Robert Moncayo; and 12 grandchildren.

Jenny Saffioti, 88, Of East Rutherford
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Lifelong East Rutherford resident Jenny Saffioti passed away Sept. 21. She was 88.
A parishioner of East Rutherford’s St. Joseph’s Church, Saffioti was a homemaker who served as a lunch room aid at Carlstadt Public School before retiring in 2010.

Judith Corbliss, 75, Of Hasbrouck Heights
HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Judith Corbliss, of Hasbrouck Heights, passed away Sept. 4. She was 75 years old.
Born Nov. 11, 1939, in Jersey City, to the late William and Catherine Walsh, Corbliss married her Saint Michael's High School sweetheart John “Jack” Corbliss in 1958.
The couple relocated to Hasbrouck Heights in 1968, where she became active in Corpus Christi Parish. Corbliss was a longtime Girl Scout “Cookie Mom” and was active in the Red Hat Society, the local Little League and the Hasbrouck Heights Band Parents Association, as well as with the school’s PTA and sports programs.

Johanna Vesia, 84, Of East Rutherford
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Johanna Vesia, of East Rutherford, passed away Sept. 18. She was 84.
Born in Baldwin, N.Y., Vesia served as a bookkeeper for many years before retiring.
She is survived by sisters Rose Belluccio of Hasbrouck Heights, Grace Flynn of Fayetteville, Ga., and the late Angela Petrillo, Vito and Michael Vesia; nieces Helen Rose and her husband Robert of Wanaque, Joann Santana and her husband Peter of Hasbrouck Heights; as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
