NEW CANAAN, Conn. Homecoming was especially sweet for the St. Luke's field hockey team as it earned its first win of the season, 3-0, over Cheshire Academy.
Junior Lauren Fenningdorf scored the first goal halfway through the first half. Senior Gabi Horowitz scored on assists from Charlotte Bergmann and Kelly Maguire to make it 2-0. Horowitz scored goal No. 3 to seal the win with 5:11 left in the game. Goalkeeper Sally Rose Zuckert had an easy day.
