Cundari is coming off an excellent season at Southern Connecticut State University, where he went 5-3 with a 1.56 ERA in 12 appearances. He struck out 66 batters and walked 17 in 80 2/3 innings and tied for the team lead in wins.
He was named the Northeast-10 Conference Pitcher of the Year, and won a host of other awards. He ranked among the conference leaders in ERA, innings pitched, games started, complete games, wins and strikeouts.
Cundari started his college career at Bryant University in Rhode Island. He played in high school at Brien McMahon, where he was also a football standout. He is the son of Terri and Rocco Cundari.
