In a battle of undefeated Fairfield Athletic Association teams, Greens Farms Academy edged Sacred Heart of Greenwich Tuesday on GFA's brand-new tennis courts, 4-3. GFA takes sole possession of first place in the FAA with a 5-0 record, 7-1 overall. Sacred Heart drops to 4-1 in the FAA, 6-2 overall.
"The talent and depth of this year's team is remarkable, says GFA coach Monique Ruledge. The girls' skill and power is matched by their tenacity and competitive drive. GFA's wins this season against both Greenwich Academy and Convent of the Sacred Heart, both historically very strong teams, is an outstanding accomplishment".
