Greens Farms Field Hockey Wins in Final Minute

WESTPORT, Conn. – Margot Bruder scored with 40 seconds remaining Thursday to give the Greens Farms Academy field hockey team a 4-3 victory over Hamden Hall in its final home game of the season.

Bruder scorer the first goal for Greens Farms (5-9) off of an assist from Madison Leonard. C.J. Rummelsburg converted a pass from Leonard for a 2-0 lead. Hamden Hall scored a minute later, and the Dragons took a 2-1 lead into halftime.

Hayley Holzinger, assisted by Olivia Taylor, restored Greems Farms’ two-goal lead. Hamden Hall answered with the next two scores to tie the score. Bruder got her game-winner off a scramble in front after a corner.

Greens Farms honored its lone senior, Isabelle Canaan, in pre-game ceremonies. Green Farms meets Choate on Friday at 6 p.m.
