Norwalk High Hosts Jazz Fest and Percussion Show

Musicians and performers from Fairfield County and beyond will descend on Norwalk High this weekend. On Friday, the high school hosts a Jazz Festival featuring 17 bands from Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. Then on Saturday, 50 color guard and percussion ensembles from the tri-state area will take part in the annual Winter Guard and Percussion Show. 

The Jazz  Festival runs 4 to 10 p.m. on two stages.  Awards are scheduled for 9:30 p.m.  For more information, email www.nhsjazzfest2011@gmail.com.  Tickets will be available at the door -- $7 adults, $5 students and seniors. 

The color guard show begins at 1 p.m. followed by the percussion show. The program is expected to last until 10 p.m.  For more information about the day's schedule, visit www.musicalartsconference.com. Tickets for both events will be available at the door -- $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors. Food and refreshments will be sold both days.
