Entrepreneurship Across the NCC Campus, which is funded through the NCC Foundation, is sponsoring the NCC Launchpad Written Idea Competition.

In the competition, interested students will submit business ideas of up to three typewritten pages in length.

Diagrams, photos, and illustrations may also be included, and do not count toward the three-page total.

“While not every NCC student wants to be an entrepreneur in the traditional sense of starting their own business and making money, all students can benefit from learning to think and act like one,” said Robert Chernow, NCC’s entrepreneur-in-residence, in a press release.

Chernow is working with interested students to learn more about the skills necessary to create and execute a profitable business idea.

“All of us need a job, and we are all responsible for our own career success, whether we work for someone else or start something on our own,” Chernow said.

“By learning a set of entrepreneurial skills…our probability of career success significantly increases.”

Chernow, along with other judges, will evaluate the NCC Launchpad Written Idea Competition submissions. The winner will receive up to $300 in prize money.

The competition is only open to current Norwalk Community College students.

The submission deadline is April 15.
