The Amusement Park Experience, part of the Saturday Academy for Girls, runs through the NCC College for Kids Program, and will provide students an opportunity to combine real-world applications with STEM concepts.
Students will build motorized rollercoasters, Ferris wheels, vertical vipers from “Knex” pieces and learn the physics behind each ride. Participants will gain understanding of the science, technology, engineering and math concepts associated with such rides and structures.
The event is for girls in grades 4 to 8. The fee is $39; preregistration is required. For additional information or to register, call 203-857-7080.
