The incident took place early Wednesday, Nov. 20, when the school's security officer "made contact" with the man who then fled the area, said Monroe Police Lt. Stephen Corrone.

Corrone said the department is searching for the man in the areas surrounding the school after he jumped out of his vehicle at some point and fled.

"All students are safe and Masuk remains in a controlled movement with all exterior doors remaining closed and locked," Corrone said. "We are continuing to investigate this matter as we approach dismissal."

Police will remain on campus throughout dismissal, he added.

The man is described as being a white Hispanic male in his 30s, with a beard, wearing a black hoodie-style sweatshirt with white lettering and tan pants.

Anyone with information about the man caught on the security officer's body cam should contact police at 203-261-3622.
