NORWALK, Conn. — Three people arrived at Norwalk Hospital late Thursday suffering from gunshot wounds after an incident on Chapel Street, according to police.
Shots were reported in the area at about 10:40 p.m., police said.
A short time later, two people arrived at the emergency room with gunshot wounds, police spokesman Lt. Terrance Blake said.
A third person arrived with a gunshot wound a short time later, he said. All three were receiving treatment overnight at the hospital.
Scanner reports said a bullet-ridden car was found in the area.
Chapel Street was closed to all traffic late Thursday and early Friday while detectives and crime scene units investigated the shooting, Norwalk police said via Twitter.
Police ask anyone with information on the shooting to call 203-854-3111 or submit an anonymous tip online or text NPD the message and send it to 274637.
