Thomas F. Benedict, 59, Of Norwalk, Vietnam War Veteran

NORWALK, Conn. - Thomas F. Benedict of Norwalk died Wednesday, Dec. 11. He was 59.

Benedict was born in Norwalk, son of Royal Benedict and Margaret (Nolan) Benedict. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a longtime member of the American Legion.

Benedict is survived by his brothers John of Lynn, Mass., and Scott "Chops" Benedict of Norwalk; and nephews and a niece. He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret.

Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date.
