NORWALK, Conn. Darron P. McCready of Bethel, formerly of Norwalk, died Aug. 26 at Danbury Hospital. He was 43.
He was born in Norwalk to Donald L. McCready Sr., of Stone Mountain, Ga., and the late Catherine McCready. He attended Norwalk schools and worked at Rings End Lumber Company in Bethel. Most recently, McCready worked as a foreman in Lewisboro, N.Y.
He was married to Amy McCready, who survives him. McCready had a great love for his family and many friends. He also loved hot rods, motorcycles, racing, and vintage cars.
In addition to his wife and father, McCready is survived by two children, Kaila and Brandin McCready, of Bethel; a sister, Donna (Carl) King; a brother, Donald L. McCready Jr., of Stone Mountain; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Georgetown Bible Church. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bethel. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Green Funeral Home in Danbury.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Chance Bible Church, 6 Henry St., Bethel, CT 06801, to further missionary outreach.
