Woman Arrested After Hitting Parked Car in Norwalk

A man whose parked car was hit early Tuesday faced another problem when he tried to exchange insurance information with the woman who had backed into the vehicle. "I'm going to have the Russian Mob kill you," Marina Lenksevic allegedly said to him.

Undeterred, the victim called Norwalk Police. Lenksevic, 38, of Maple Tree Avenue, Stamford, was arrested and charged with threatening, breach of peace and interfering with an officer. Bond was set at $1,500.

The accident happened at about 1 a.m. at the Tavern on 7 restaurant, 611 Main Ave. Lenksevic allegedly backed her 2008 Volkswagen into the man's 1998 Acura. Both cars had minimal damage to their rear fenders, Sgt. Lisa Cotto said. Lenksevic allegedly began screaming and cursing when the victim wanted to go through legal channels. She continued being belligerent after police arrived and threw her car registration at the officers.

Also on the police blotter:

• Four lockers at Planet Fitness were broken into Monday and the contents stolen. The manager of the gym, 26 Pearl St., Norwalk, told police that something similar happened last week at the Planet Fitness in Stamford.

The thefts happened between 8 and 11 p.m. Victims lost their wallets, which included their driver's licenses and credit cards. One victim lost an iPad Touch. Another lost an iPhone. The patrol division was investigating and will check surveillance cameras, which monitor who comes and goes from the locker area.

• Thieves broke into an apartment being renovated in preparation for a new tenant Monday and stole tools used by the contractors. Workers returned to the apartment in the King Kennedy complex to find the door had been forced open. A Skil saw, a DeWalt power drill and a chop saw were missing.

• An 18-year-old woman left the doors to her 1999 Jeep Cherokee unlocked when she went shopping at 5 p.m. Monday evening in the plaza at 360 Connecticut Ave. She also left the keys in the vehicle. When she came out an hour later, the Jeep was gone.

Police will check the surveillance cameras at Shop Rite. The Norwalk resident hadn't been shopping there, but police said a camera may have been pointed in the direction of her car.
